To Izaak's Birthmother

I ran across this adoption song/video from an email loop that I'm on (click here to view the video). Honestly, it makes me cry every time I hear it. I can’t imagine what Izaak’s birthmother went through to make the decision to place him in an orphanage for adoption. I don’t think it matters what country or situation a woman comes from, the fact that she chose to give birth/life to her child and to offer him a better life than she could provide, shows how much she loved him, how much she dreamed of him having a better life and what she imagined he would become. This song has reminded me of how important Izaak's birthmother's decision has impacted our lives. Without it, we wouldn’t have Izaak, the most perfect little child for our family.

Please listen to the song. I think as parents of an adopted child, it touches our hearts and makes us give thanks to Izaak’s birthmother. I know it’s easy to get lost in our family, but it’s important to remember his birthmother and thank her through prayer for the decision she made to choose life. Thank you so much to you, Izaak's birthmother, Kumis Zholdaskalievna Kuspangalieva, for giving us and our family this beautiful child! ~ A
