The Nursery

The Nursery

We finally finished our son's nursery. The project began in January. Once the theme was decided, it was only a matter of time before paint was on the walls, furniture was ordered, toys were dusted off and pictures hung. We decided on a “Toy Story” theme. While still friends in college (1996), we saw the movie together and now, 10 years later, we have the inspiration for our son’s room. We both loved the first and second “Toy Story” movies so much that we had already collected many toys from the movies, never knowing it would one day be a part of our child’s room. We built a large shelf to hold all the fun stuff. A must for the room were the classic “Toy Story” clouds, which Mike cleverly recreated. The bedding is also a western theme, to mimic Andy’s room (from the movie).

Thanks to all our family and friends for the books, stuffed animals, toys, necessity baby items, and everything it took to make the room complete. We hope our son loves the room as much as we do. ~ A

Showers of Love

Everyone was so excited,
They wanted to be there,
To share in our happiness,
Because they really care.

Mike and I can't begin to tell all of you how much your love and support has meant to us. A special thanks goes to those that hosted baby showers. Each shower was special and unique with games, guests and food. We truly appreciate the amount of work and energy that you each put into creating a special day for us. And how do we begin to thank our family and friends for the gifts, words of wisdom and best wishes? Your generosity means more to us than you know. We have been truly blessed by all of you and you have shown us just how much our little boy is going to be loved! ~ A
